Develop strategies to manage global challenges and opportunities facing businesses, whether it is a business that people work in, or their own business that they are looking to establish. Students will develop the knowledge to manage people, processes, systems, and operations. They will gain an in-depth understanding of contemporary business and management issues and be encouraged to critique the theories and concepts of the business and management environment.
Moreover, students will develop effective team working skills in preparing and making presentations in key areas of management. They will also improve their critical awareness and synthesis skills and apply these to problem solving. These skills will benefit them throughout their career, but particularly useful in management/leadership roles.
Learn about entrepreneurship in a global context and how one can start or develop their own business. Students will be introduced to some of the key components of business start-up, including effective pitching, finances, marketing, and later to support mechanisms available.
As part of this degree, learners will have the opportunity to do an eight-week internship matched to their chosen industry in China, Mexico, Vietnam, or Manchester (UK).
