International Business is about learning worldwide business knowledge. Many business principles and practices are common across the world and this degree will help students understand what these are and why they have been adopted internationally. Students will also understand how these business principles and practices vary in different countries, helping them to be prepared for their business career.
Whether their first degree is in Business, or another subject, this course will help students understand why different processes and decisions are made by international businesses. This will be taught across a wide range of modules, including areas such as international business strategy, international trade, human resource management practices, management practices/principles, international marketing, and much more.
This is a popular option which has led many of the graduates to successful careers in HRM. Alongside the core international business modules, students will study HRM strategies, international HRM, behavioural insights for managers and the opportunity to cover such areas as strategic leadership and cross-cultural management.
As part of this degree, learners will have the opportunity to do an eight-week internship matched to their chosen industry in China, Mexico, Vietnam, or Manchester (UK).
