International trade and business have increased significantly over the last few decades, and this has brought a corresponding increase in commercial cross-border disputes, the management and resolution of which is very different from the resolution of purely domestic disputes. Most international law firms have a department dedicated to international dispute resolution and are constantly looking for talented dispute resolution lawyers: Studying this subject is essential, therefore, if you want a career in cross-border dispute resolution or international trade and commerce, or indeed in a trade-related government department.
