The Civil Engineering with Industrial Practice, MSc allows graduates and engineers to update their skills and technical knowledge to serve the future demands of the construction industry.
Learners will discover more about civil engineering design and the management issues that arise in construction and civil engineering. They'll also improve their technical, professional and management skills through an independent project and a one-year internship with a related employer in the field. It is an opportunity to put into practice the knowledge and experience students have gained during the first year of the master's course plus any previous study or experience
This course is aimed at engineering and technology graduates who wish to pursue managerial roles in engineering and manufacturing. Students on this course will be able to discuss career options with organizations such as Atkins Global and the Environment Agency and review the next steps to becoming a Chartered Engineer.
Core lectures are delivered by members of the School of Engineering who are specialists in their respective fields. Guest speakers bring additional perspectives from industry or research, keeping students updated with the latest industry standards in their discipline.
