The Formulation Science, MSc helps students understand the principles of making finished products from a blend of different ingredients. They'll draw on current examples from the pharmaceutical industry and the experience of Greenwich's academics to understand the interaction between formulation components and the effect on finished products. Students should then be able to apply these principles to relevant problems in other industries.
The direct, hands-on experience from this course boosts analytical, practical and research skills, providing a solid foundation for students' ongoing professional development. Former graduates have gone on to develop successful careers in a wide range of industrial sectors, from the pharmaceutical sciences to agrochemical and consumer goods. They have also gone on to work for major multinational companies as well as thrive at specialist enterprises. Some have also progressed to research and PhDs.
This is the first MSc Formulation Science course accredited by the Academy of Pharmaceutical Science (APS). The programme team and other contributors to the course are globally recognised specialists in their fields. Colleagues from industry (e.g. Pfizer, GSK, Novo Nordisk, Merck/Proctor & Gamble) deliver guest lectures each year as well as industry-relevant teaching sessions and seminars.
