The Master's in Strategic Marketing is designed for graduates and qualified managers to learn about the latest developments and practices in strategic marketing. It will suit those looking to enter a career in marketing consultancy or pursue management careers in marketing. This course will advance students' marketing skills and prepare them for the competitive challenges of the global marketplace.
Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of marketing strategy, market research, digital marketing, brand management and global marketing, plus the skills to manage the relationship between an organization and its customers. The School of Marketing, Events and Tourism also invites guest lecturers from influential organizations within the industry, such as EQUA, Visit Britain and Public Health England.
Teaching is delivered by leading academics and industry experts. In a typical week, learning takes place through a combination of lectures and seminars. Students will be able to discuss and develop their understanding of topics covered in lectures in smaller group sessions. Outside of timetabled sessions, they'll need to dedicate time to self-study to prepare for coursework, presentations and exams. Greenwich's Stockwell Street library and online resources will support further reading and research. Learners can also join a range of student societies, including the Marketing Society.
Graduates of this degree are currently working as consultants and as marketing and marketing communications managers for companies such as PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Co-op Group, Italian automotive technology manufacturer Magneti Marelli and Norwegian food products manufacturer Mills DA, as well as various private companies, non-profits and government organizations around the world.
