In the Bachelor of Arts - Anthropology program, students will learn how to critically analyze human behavior and cultural patterns, leading to a better understanding of modern societal problems. Using these skills and knowledge they will be well-equipped to have an impact on contemporary, historical, social and global issues.
Students can investigate what it means to be human by studying cultures and exploring issues that impact people's global environment, Indigenous peoples, their health and well-being and social movements. The will learn first-hand from faculty with a wide range of expertise who conduct research in countries such as India, Paraguay, South Africa, Japan, Cuba and Madagascar.
Students can join the student society to bring awareness to various topics in sociology and anthropology or consider a semester abroad to experience and study other cultures.
The co-op program gives students the opportunity to gain relevant work experience, build professional networks and develop essential interpersonal skills needed to succeed in the workplace and fast-track their career, all while getting paid and earning their university degree.
