In the Bachelor of Commerce - Management Economics and Finance (MEF) program, students will integrate the analysis of economics and finance with the practical tools of accounting, business management and marketing in management economics and finance, focusing on management economics or finance in their fourth year.
The skills and experience gained in this degree will provide students with the ability to think in a disciplined, structured and open-minded way, and apply this way of thinking to tackle challenges in a globalized economy.
In the MEF major, students will engage in a challenging and rewarding intellectual environment, gain in-depth knowledge of finance theory, and obtain a practical understanding of a broad range of business areas.
Graduates of the University of Guelph's Management Economics and Finance major are equipped with the practical tools in economics and finance, as well as hands-on experience throughout their studies, to be employed by some of the most respected organizations in the world.
The Management Economics and Finance co-op option provides real-world co-op experience, designed to facilitate the transition of students from academic studies to a professional career improving their job search skills, work performance and networking abilities, and boosting resume experience.
