This sports coaching degree gives students the opportunity to explore coaching theory, research and practice. Students will focus on contemporary areas of sports coaching study, including coach education, learning and practical skills. Students will also develop their own specialised coaching knowledge, attributes and abilities through a whole range of theoretical and hands-on experiences. Throughout, students are encouraged to shape their own professional development journey and achieve the appropriate vocational coaching qualifications to take their career in the direction they want. The importance of students developing their academic and research strengths, improving thir confidence, credibility and critical writing skills is also emphasised in this course.
