In today’s economy, managing information is critical to the success of a business. Supply-chain management, mass customization, business intelligence and data mining are all key drivers of a successful business, and all require the effective management of large volumes of information using technology systems. The UIC Business Liautaud Graduate School Master of Science in Management Information Systems Program teaches students how to use technology to improve business practices. Taught by research faculty, the program is designed to train project managers, technology leaders and future CIOs. With a degree in MIS, graduates will be able to direct companies on how to design, implement and manage systems in ways that have a direct impact on strategy and operational decisions.
