Students will experience the culture and the workplace in Canada, with career preparation, language support and a potential work placement. They will gain the leadership, teamwork, communication and strategic planning skills necessary for a successful career in human resources. They will cover topics such as employee relations, human resource legislation, staff training and development and an introduction to the professional competencies required for CPHR designation. Students will reach for the higher echelons of their organization and make a greater strategic impact on its direction with innovative courses that correspond with the HR competency framework.
When students have CPHR added to their title, they are much more likely to get promoted faster than non-designated HR professionals. This program was designed to specifically meet the accreditation requirements of the CPHR designation. Upon graduating, students may be eligible to waive writing the National Knowledge Exam (NKE), shortening the distance between them and their career goals.
