Computer Science (Optional Co-op) at University of New Brunswick at Saint John

A global technological evolution is underway and computer scientists are designing and implementing the computer systems that are the bedrock of the modern world.

The BScCS is a four-year degree program providing students with a solid foundation in core areas of computing recognized by the Canadian Information Processing Society. The program prepares students for a wide variety of careers in traditional and emerging fields in computing. Alongside core courses a targeted range of elective courses are offered through which students have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge in specific areas of computing or in complementary disciplines.

Students may choose to specialize in one of the following disciplines: software engineering, or computer networking.

Why Computer Science at UNB?

UNB's department has a low student to faculty ratio, allowing students greater interaction with their professors. Student alumni of the department have regularly identified this as a key benefit that contributes to their success. In addition to our specializations we have expertise in newer areas of computing such as web sciences, data analytics, and data mining.
