The notion of global interdependence has become a central fact of today's post -modern world. The challenges faced by the emerging countries of the South have an immediate impact on life in Canada.
International Development Studies (IDS) is an interdisciplinary program made to address social, political, and economic issues facing the development of emerging countries in the Global South. The program includes selected courses from the Faculty of Arts at UNB. IDS provides students with a holistic understanding of today's important issues including the North South dialogue, globalization, poverty, indigenous concerns, ethnic struggles, and sustainable development.
