Neuroscience at University of New Brunswick at Fredericton

How does the brain work? How does the brain determine behavior? What happens when the brain is injured? Neuroscience is a sub-field of psychology that examines these questions and many others.

Research in neuroscience is one of the fastest growing areas of psychology.  New techniques have been developed to measure brain activity, such as neuroimaging, which gives insight into the brain never had before. When students enroll in the Neuroscience specialization at UNB, they will stay at the cutting edge of psychology.

The Neuroscience specialization is available as part of a student's major or honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Students can also get training in Neuroscience through the major or honours Bachelor of Science degree.
