The MSc Business and Management course gives learners the knowledge and skills they need to be an inspiring, effective and resilient manager. It combines management theory with development of practical skills, and is taught by internationally recognised subject experts.

The course focuses on operations and strategic management, and explores the need for managing limited resources effectively, with maximum business impact. This is the ideal course for those who are looking to take their first steps into management. Students are taught the major functions of organizations – accounting, marketing, operations, people and talent management. Finance and economics are integrated through strategic orientation. 

The University of Stirling aims to create industry leaders, managers and entrepreneurs, who're confident in the use of business analytics tools and critical thinking abilities. This allows for better and informed decision making in management career. There’s an emphasis on entrepreneurship, innovation and strategic management. Students will also develop an appreciation of corporate social responsibility, ethical decision making and managing change.

As part of the University's commitment to flexible learning this postgraduate course in Business and Management also offers two pathways, MSc Management and Marketing, and MSc Management with New Venture Creation and Innovation. Moreover, students have the chance to take part in industry visits, as well as undertaking consultancy projects with businesses across the public, private and non-profit sectors. This allows them to integrate the knowledge and skills from their master's degree to solve a real business challenge. The University also hosts a series of guest lectures and workshops, giving learners many networking opportunities with potential employers.

Additionally, the unique Flying Start Leadership programme equips learners with the awareness, knowledge and techniques essential for building a successful career.

Graduates have forged careers across many sectors such as management, marketing and advertising, government administration, banking and finance. Their job roles have included Research Analyst, Relationship Manager, Salesforce Developer, Strategic Planning Manager and Commercial Account Manager.
