The Agribusiness program gives students a strong understanding of the economics of agriculture, from finance to trade to human resources. Students will learn about the world of marketing and distribution of food and agri-products.
The Agribusiness program allows students to specialize in the people component of agriculture. This begins with the consumer, ends with the producer and involves all those along the food chain. Food production and distribution is undertaken in a business environment and agribusiness is the study of decision-making within this setting.
The University of Manitoba’s agribusiness professors bring a wealth of knowledge and experience from the industry to the classroom, examining topics like risk analysis, natural resource economics and international trade policy.
