Students could already be working in sport and looking to progress to a more senior management role, or it could be they are motivated to seek a new and exciting career and are attracted by the options sport and commerce can provide in the UK and across the globe.
We will help students gain an understanding of the industry and the business principles that underpin it, helping them turn their passion into a rewarding career.
Students will have the opportunity to gain real-world experience by working with industry partners in the Managing Creativity & Innovation module. This includes working on projects with key University partners such as Leeds Rhinos, Yorkshire Carnegie, Leeds United, Kirklees Active Leisure and Global Sport Jobs. Guest lectures will bring them into contact with cutting-edge practitioners and professionals in the sports industry, inspiring their learning, enhancing their networks and boosting their career prospects. The Professional Practice in the Sport Business option module will provide them with the opportunity to gain further industry experience which is specifically relevant to them.
