Aviation and aerospace industries demand a new breed of specialists who have well-developed analytical and decision-making skills along with the academic background to help them understand complex aircraft systems. Science and Aviation at Waterloo provides a strong science and technology education along with advanced flight training leading to a Commercial Pilot License. This science education will be coupled with courses that include cartography, climatology, geographic information systems, geomorphology, and remote sensing. Through a partnership with the Waterloo-Wellington Flight Centre, students will receive at least 200 hours of flight experience at one of Canada's largest and most experienced flight training centres. Students will learn to fly and attain their multi-engine and multi-instrument ratings.
